Title:  Flying South

Logline:  Every young bird must make their first journey south for the winter, but only one will make it alone. One flight, one destination, one adventure you will never forget!

Synopsis:
Sport, a young sparrow, is about to embark on his first flight south for the winter. Everything goes as planned until he is suddenly knocked from the flight. Now, for the first time on his own, he must make the remaining journey alone. Something no other bird his age has done. Along the way he meets various interesting and comical characters who challenge his ideals and thoughts of family and friendship. Although Sport journeys south alone, he does not go unnoticed or unmissed. After realizing a young bird is missing from the flock, General Torbert sends out his finest search team. Unfortunately for Sport and his family the search team closely resembles the three stooges and is less than desirable!

Title:  Eye of the Bennu

Logline:  A young scribe finds himself caught up in an epic conflict between his kingdom on the Nile and their enemies the Hyksos, who seek to call a great evil into the world through his former best friend.

Synopsis:
In the mythological tradition of "The Chronicles of Narnia", the setting of "Eye of the Bennu" exists in an Egyptian-inspired universe, wherein all of the races are based off of the animal gods of ancient Egypt. The kingdom of Kemet is at war with their mortal enemies, the Hyksos, who seek to call their dark god Apep into the world and gain dominion over all life. The only way to stop them is by calling the great sun god Ra into the Pharaoh of Kemet, creating a being known as the Bennu. It is this conflict that Aketnu, a jackal scribe, and his best friend Izra, an orphaned Hyksos servant, find thrust upon them. The Hyksos invade their city while seeking the forbidden rituals to call upon Apep, and Aketnu and his mother become separated. As Aketnu ventures forth seeking his mother, he will encounter great miracles from Ra, join the Pharaoh on his journey, and find himself pitted against Apep - who has chosen none other than Izra as his vessel through which to enter the world.

Title:  Running Cloud Journey To Spirit Mountain

Logline:  A family''s summer vacation for one young boy turns into a mystical journey of destiny; to free his ancestral space faring people from one of their own gone bad.

Synopsis:
Running Cloud ten, leaving suburbia for the summer, is headed for the clean living of Spirit mountain and his Grandfather''s ranch. Once their he meets up with long time friend Johnny Storm. On their way to Geronimo''s Diner, Running Cloud and Johnny bump into BillyJack sixteen, the town''s bad boy who lost his parents in an accident. Their face/off brief, it''s something that Running Cloud doesn''t soon forget. Until lunch, where he embarrassingly burps in the face of Sara eleven, while trying to be a player. During the celebration for the opening of the Tribal Nations Heritage Museum, Running Cloud, Sara and Johnny. Follow a suspicious looking BillyJack and his friends into the museum. Their, an ancient artifact known as the Star of the Anasazi, transports them inside the mystical Spirit mountain. Where they meet Kaya, and off world traveler. Running Cloud with the help from his friends will face his destiny, and the trials that lay ahead to free kaya and her people.

Logline:  A bungled hijacking leads to some famous cereal box characters being dislodged from the front of their boxes. They must regain their position before the expiration date. Youth and magic assist.

Synopsis:
A bungled hijacking leads to some famous cereal box characters being dislodged from the front panel''s of their boxes. In their hilarious quest to regain their positon, they join forces with some orphans to save the kid''s Children''s Farm Home from the hands of an unscrupulous land developer. Tiger Woods and Captain Crunch lead the characters in this race against the clock. What happens if they don''t make it back to their boxes ahead of the dreaded "expiration date"? Will Sammy and Moe, loveable but inept thieves, be able to steal the donated merchandise before an auction designed to save the school ? This tale will take you into the imagination of a child and show you how determination and youth, with a little magic thrown in, can overcome any obstacle.

Title:  FAIRLIGHT

Logline:  Princess Fairlight''s birthday ball is ruined by an evil sorceress who takes over her kingdom. All seems lost, but with the help of a good witch and a Prince, Fairlight''s dreams may still come true.

Synopsis:
Beautiful Princess Fairlight has come of age. A grand ball is prepared for her birthday to which Princes from neighboring Kingdoms are invited. It is hoped Fairlight will find a groom. Her brother, Prince Amzel, is up to his usual mischief and having played a trick on his sister in the morning, continues to play pranks on the guests. One of the guests is the wicked sorceress Grenzel in disguise as a Princess. She has just come into the posession of a powerful magic wand found in an old tomb. With this wand, she ruins the party, turning guests and Fairlight into wild animals. She chases everyone out of the castle and takes over the kingdom. Fairlight after struggling to survive in the wild as a she wolf is taken in by the kind white witch Sandra. Sandra with the help of her talking owl, Peppermint, transforms Fairlight back into a person and later with the help of Prince Gallant, who is Fairlight''s dream groom, helps mastermind the defeat of Grenzel.

Title:  Pet Project

Logline:  A family of pets find their world turned upside down when a genetically perfected ''kitten of the future'' is brought into the fold.

Synopsis:
Family is a powerful thing. It bonds and holds those in it without question, and within most families, there is a second family. One as precious and delicate as any other. The pets. My name is Jason Melby and I have a new script for an animated feature, “Pet Project”. The story is in the tradition of "Toy Story", "Toy Story 2" and "Monsters, Inc." It’s about the animals that live in the Talbot home. Life is good among the pets until the status quo is disrupted when Harold Talbot, a brilliant scientist, brings home his latest experiment. A genetically perfected cat, Gene, which he brings home to test around other animals before it is sold to then public. The others decide to teach Gene how to be a real cat, but they end up learning the value of family, no matter who, or what, it is. Title:  Adventure A-Head

Logline:  Curious and Consciousness take a guided tour of Jojo’s brain and have an amazing adventure, meeting emotions and molecules, taming dragons, freeing Creativity and exchanging wisecracks with Wisdom.

Synopsis:
Jojo, a 14 year old boy has a bad day at school. He meets his personified Consciousness, Curiosity and an Endorphin molecule. They take a tour within Jojo’s brain. Other brain structures, emotions and molecules turn up as characters to play out the brain’s processes including interaction with Alcohol who makes an appearance at a party. The adventures include lessons on Teamwork from Granny Cross-Eyes, up-side down images in the visual cortex, an encounter with Fear Dragon, strangely proportioned Sensory Man, Motor Mouth, Pig Superior and liberation of Creativity. Our heroes learn to respect tissue responsible for relationships and the use it or lose it principle of neural mechanisms. They journey to a higher level to meet Wisdom and share wisecracks. Back in the real world we find Jojo transformed and adjusted to his self-image and pubertal transition, with enough courage to ask Anita out.

Title:  The Magical Wishgate

Logline:  The fate of the Magical Wishgate is in the hands of the Rollacious Bladi-Ators. They must defeat their archrivals, the evil Rolla-Cons and foil their plans to destroy all WISH-KIND.

Synopsis:
On Bladedromada (a special planet were dreams are born, and wishes come true) a race of rollernoids, Bladi-Ators have just defeated their archrivals, the evil Rolla-Cons in the intergalactic Solar Bowl. Meanwhile at Wishgate Headquarters, the Magical Wishgate is hard at work processing billions of wishes. Roland Inline, a kind-hearted Earth boy, makes a special birthday wish to beat out champion skateboarder Devious Barnes, the schools bully, in the Glide-Glide Slippady Slide Skateboarding championship. The Bladi-Ators, led by Brain E. Blade, a team of galactic Wish Granters are sent through the Wishgate to Earth, to fulfill Roland''s wish. But dark times await them; the evil Rolla-Cons led by Lord Dark Blader, have taken control of the Magical Wishgate and warped to Earth to fulfill the same wish for Devious, and avenge their lost. If the Rolla-Cons suceed in granting Devious his wish first, they will control all Wish-Kind. THEY MUST BE STOPPED, NO MATTER THE COST!

Title:  Chupacabra

Logline:  The Mayan civilization falls protecting the world from a were-jaguar invasion. Centuries later, it''s up to two kids, a mad priest, and a chupacabra to put an end to the threat once and for all.

Synopsis:
Archeologist, Digger Davis, brings his two kids to Mexico, where he had met his late wife. The children, Karen and Carter, are descendants of the Mayan ruler who defeated the were-jaguar and created the chupacabra. These vampire-like chupacabra were made to guard a dimensional portal, which now acts as a prison for the evil were-jaguar. Because the kids come from the creator''s bloodline, the chupacabra dubbed Chupy befriends Karen. Unfortunately, Chupy''s friendship exposes his existance to cryptozoologist, Bernard Horton. Horton''s attempt to capture the creature results in the opening of a portal and Karen falling into the clutches of Wil Lum the were-jaguar. Her sacrifice can be used as a key for the were-jaguar escape. A mad Mayan priest, Zotz, who has been observing the events unfold, now steps forward to help. He must lead Carter and Chupy on a mission to rescue Karen and stop a were-jaguar invasion.

Title:  Tales of Glarney

Synopsis:
In TALES OF GLARNEY, Simon, our protagonist runs away from home. Guided by his deceased mother, who takes the form of a butterfly, he enters the Kingdom of Glarney where he meets magical creatures who propel him on a precarious journey to break the evil Nefarious’ spell. Simon learns he must return home before the full moon, or he will be trapped there forever. It becomes a race against time to fulfill his commitment to his new friends and return home. TALES OF GLARNEY is a new age story about a boy’s journey in learning to trust and follow his intuition.

Title:  Galactic X-Mas

Logline:  The fate of X-Mas is in Toober''s hands. He must travel to three planets and urge them to celebrate or the ancient holiday will die forever.

Synopsis:
The aliens of the technological planet of Novak and the naturalistic planet of Mondoon have much distrust in each other. Toober, an alien from Jerves, is ordered to travel to each planet and request their support of the X-Mas holiday. A crooked Sergeant Caper does everything in his power to make sure Toober does not succeed. With the odds against them, Toober and his new friends Tek, Wesh and, Flower, realize they can bypass the politicians by retrieving a sacred mineral from each planet. The three minerals must be taken to the mystical planet of Hoobikar. Once all three are placed in the ancient cave, the planet will come alive with X-Mas spirit and all willing aliens can unify in celebration for the first time in one thousand years. Title:  Telemachus and Homer

Logline:  For every boy who grew up in his father’s shadow and every girl who was underestimated, "Telemachus and Homer" is the animated adventure of two of mythology’s most misunderstood heroes.

Synopsis:
For two decades, Telemachus waited to meet his father. But when he is granted his greatest wish he decides that he needs to start his own journey. As he is leaving Ithaca, he learns from Homer, a young blind woman, that their friends and families have been poisoned and Ithaca’s greatest hero has been kidnapped. With the help of Arama, a Chrompath, and Nadraj, a member of the Order of Olympian Timekeepers, Telemachus and Homer search for the antidote. They travel to the only garden where the antidote can be found, which is on the outskirts of Troy. Only Arama and Homer can enter the garden, and while they are inside, a band of Trojans captures Telemachus and Nadraj and takes them to the remains of the head of the Trojan Horse, where they find Odysseus, who is also a prisoner. The heroes reunite, and although outnumbered must test whether they are strong enough and smart enough to do what their people need of them and to defeat the infamous Trojans.

Logline:  Migration is an animated, coming of age tale about a young bird, Dylan and his attempt to find his place in the flock

Synopsis:
Dylan dreams of becoming a member of the elite group fliers, the Golden Crowns who each year lead the flock to their winter destination, the Emerald Haven. Unable to join because he was born of a different breed he tries out for their secondary squad, the Silver Tips. Humiliated during the try-outs by his nemesis, Bradley, Dylan embarks on an adventure of self discovery. With the help of many friends he encounters along the way, Dylan learns the value of family and friends. He returns to the meadow only to find the flock has departed. With the help of Piper, an older, seasoned flyer, Dylan finds the strength and courage to prove his worth and find his place among his peers.

Title:  Motorbike Mike

Logline:  What if the Bad News Bears met the Wonder Years? You would get MOTORBIKE MIKE, a series where an eclectic group of small town misfits tackle big city issues to exploit the stupidity of mankind.

Synopsis:
This animated series brilliantly blends an eclectic group of small town teenage misfits with musical satire, devilish pranks, and big city issues to exploit the stupidity and ignorance of mankind in hopes of educating the masses and inspiring good will. The show revolves around the lead character Motorbike Mike, who with his witty, personable voice-overs and punk rock attitude, wreaks havoc on his community, on an intellectual level, by addressing stereotypes, political and social issues, and the everyday complications of teenage life. The town, where all this takes place, is sarcastically mirrored after Branson, MO, where a well know strip of amphitheaters are owned and operated by yesteryears washed-up, power-hungry cartoon celebrities. The town also features a famous karaoke bar, a haunted single A baseball stadium paired with a foul-mouthed, drunken play-by-play announcer, an inspiring rebel social studies teacher, and Motorbike Mike's best friend Jukebox. Jukebox, a humorous, quick-witted goofy kid, speaks only via an electronic laptop/stereo called a bangbox, which plays movie quotes, songs, sounds, and anything else needed to communicate his thoughts and ideas. With innovative jargon, timely music, topical subject matter, and even some occassional video footage, MOTORBIKE MIKE aims at creating a unique and heartfelt series with a return to yesteryear feel. I also have feature-length screenplay entitled LUCHARPAN, which is a family-oriented comedy/fantasy-adventure story about two kid brothers who accidentally cross over into the magical land of Faerie on Halloween. Dressed as Yoda and Austin Powers, they embark on a mysterious yet rewarding and magical journey while trying to satisfy the requirements of their Faerie mortal wish grant in order to return back home. They must catch Faerie’s most-wanted criminal, Lucharpan. LUCHARPAN was a recent finalist in the 2003 CinemaSpoke screenplay writing competition sponsored by Cinema St. Louis. I’d like to send the completed scripts for MOTORBIKE MIKE and/or LUCHARPAN for your review and possible representation. In addition, I am interested in assignments as well.
