At 25, "Jessie" fights a daily fear that her father, Bob, is going to die, especially after he overdoses...again. And her baby sister Iris is like a lot of girls without a mother, they drink too much and wind up pregnant. Charlie Pratt may be a professor now, but he still hasn''t grown up. An often too desperate Jessie loves him more than herself, but that hasn''t stopped him from looking for other women. Jessie''s true problem lies with her poor self-image and her crippling codependent behavior. That''s why when Jake McGrady falls hard for her, she puts him off, until, in a moment of weakness, she ends up seeking him out. It then takes a dramatic confession from Charlie to lift the fog enough for Jessica to peer out and see clearly if only for a moment.

The confluence of this plan, their lofty stature and a pervasively overweight populous, polarizes public perception of beauty, resulting in a harsh lesson in esthetic Darwinism; taught in part by erstwhile stooge turned unlikely nemesis, whom they''d laughingly bestowed the monicker - Greasy.

His good intentions are vehemently challenged by Reverend Bonaventure, the fire and brimstone spouting preacher who worries the Vampire Academy will damage the souls of those who might otherwise be saved. Mr. and Mrs. Richards are allowed to escape the trap, but because they deserve to be punished as much as the others, they suffer severe guilt repercussions, paranoid delusions, and their ultimate demise. This sets Sarah free to finally escape the confines of Hadleyburg and to pursue happiness in the larger world, which happens to be where Stephenson is going as well.

My screenplay, "It''s a Horrible Life", is a romantic comedy in the tradition of "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Groundhog Day". Title:  THE GREAT LOVER

Logline:   Why does the ghost of Rudolph Valentino haunt a small Midwestern town? For love, of course.

Synopsis:
July 18, 2005 When an ill-mannered mechanic loses his wife to a suave businessman, the ghost of Rudolph Valentino helps him win her back by teaching him how to be a great lover. Set in present day Crown Point, Indiana, a small Midwestern town where Valentino was married back in 1923. The inspiration for this story came from two sources. First, I grew up in Crown Point and had always been fascinated by the fact that the cinema's first male sex symbol had been married in my hometown. And second, that there were a few times in my dating life when I could have benefited from the help of a great lover. I am currently seeking literary representation and would like to send you a copy of THE GREAT LOVER for your consideration. Sincerely, Noah Burczyk Wga reg# 1077522
