Logline: Sometimes those we need to forgive are those we so badly want to forget!
Synopsis: Dear Reader,
My name is Eric Wehr and I have written a feature spec called, "Death Speaks" that I would like to send your way.
"Death Speaks" is a dark comedy along the lines of such movies as "Rushmore" and "Little Miss Sunshine". It begins with a young man named Greg, who after the death of his unloving father and sickness of his mother, finally begins to talk and live. Creating random animal facts, riding a unicycle, visiting dead strangers at the graveyard, and feeding local animals are all ways Greg attempts to normalize himself. But the small town won't make it easy, as they will not forgive Greg for his father's past. Only his mother, and elderly couple, and a young waitress give him the support and help he needs.
I think "Death Speaks" is a unique and quirky perspective on death/forgiveness that will appeal to a broad audience. My script is ready to be sent upon your request.
Best Regards,
Eric Wehr Title: DEAD AIR

Title: A Not-so Romantic Comedy
Logline: The guy that wants no one finally meets that someone who just won't go away.
Synopsis: For some marriage is life's biggest joy, but for Noel Fitzsimmon, marriage is life's biggest mistake. And, when that audacious claim to want no one, is met with someone, that just won't go away—a squatter, Anne Hunter—what ensues is an irreverent but light war of attrition between Noel and the insurmountable forces of matrimony in the Deep South. His assault—sometimes poignant, always absurd—targets the institution of marriage, his best friends imminent wedding in particular as its proxy and Southern culture in general as its champion. Honest love is messy, childish, and ambiguous, but also, when it is true, as we come to find, unconditional. So, while A Not-so Romantic Comedy is at once an indictment of love and marriage—peeling away myth and delusion—in the end it operates as an endorsement, albeit reluctant, by their staunchest foe. It's got the clever comedy and emotional resonance to re-energize the genre. A romantic comedy, finally, that even guys will tell their friends to see Title: Alfred

Title: BOX OFFICE KILLING
Logline: You want to make sure a movie is a hit? Kill off your star and then release the film as his "last work."
FARGO meets ENTOURAGE in BOX OFFICE KILLING. A partially packaged black comedy screenplay.
Synopsis: I have had a script produced with Warner Bros. (TWISTED FORTUNE) and finished a writing assignment to co-author a script with Stan Lee.
ERICA realizes her job is in jeopardy when she comes to work and finds her boss trying to commit suicide. Again.
Desperate times call for desperate measures ... such as casting DiCaprio-esque star HANZO, and then hiring serial killer RAY as production assistant in the hopes of making sure the young star meets his demise just before the end of filming.
Not so simple on this movie set. The studio head demands that his Jewish, gangsta wanna-be nephew is in the movie. Ray has had a crush on Erica since high school, and wants to prove his love in a rather morbid manner. The child star is not safe around the pedophile director, and Hanzo spends most of his time having sex with anything that doesn't move away.
Erica can't worry about that because every since she turned down the killer's advances... he's been coming after her! Title: Take Me Back

Getting nowhere with Irene, Grant decides to work on Henry. Flattered by the charming, cool sophisticate, Henry sidesteps Irene's warning and agrees to "hang" with Grant. What harm could going to the ball game do, especially since Grant has such great tickets . . . . Three days later (or is it four?), Henry finally resurfaces, hideously late for his own rehearsal party, bleary-eyed, somewhat incoherent, smelling like booze and cheap perfume. Where has he been? Why hasn't he called? How come different women kept answering Henry's cell phone? Why are there night club stamps up and down his arms? Is that a TATOO???
And who's this girl following you everywhere?
Based on a true story. (More or less.) Title: Your Very Own Ricky Rubato

Title: The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg
Logline: An offended stranger seeks revenge on an entire town by hatching a scheme that produces hilarious and disturbing after-shocks. From Mark Twain’s short story; has added romantic angles.
Synopsis: Tossed off of a riverboat, Howard Stephenson washes up on the shore of Hadleyburg, the most self-righteous town on the Mississippi. Stephenson needs assistance but instead receives abuse from the town. Befriended and informed by the town’s outsider, Stephenson devises a plot to teach the town a lesson. Stephenson later meets Sarah Robinson, the servant “girl” who longs to escape Hadleyburg but is trapped by her circumstances. The town hall scene is Twain at his most cinematic. Almost all of the town principals are snared by Stephenson’s trap, much to the unbridled delight of the other townspeople. Mr. and Mrs. Richards are allowed to escape the trap, but because they deserve to be punished as much as the others, they suffer severe guilt repercussions, paranoid delusions, and their ultimate demise. This sets Sarah free to finally escape the confines of Hadleyburg and to pursue happiness in the larger world, which happens to be where Stephenson is going as well. Title: It''s a Horrible Life
Logline: Love may come to those who wait, but after fourteen years with the same guy, even a reasonable girl has her limits.

But when at a friend''s wedding, Hope develops a reputation for beating up anyone who gets between her and a thrown bouquet, Isaac''s days of being "happily unmarried" may be numbered.
It will take an annoyingly good-looking rival to appear on the scene, a Frank Capra hallucination, and a persistent mugger to make Isaac realize how he truly feels about Hope.
But he may be too late.
My screenplay, "It''s a Horrible Life", is a romantic comedy in the tradition of "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Groundhog Day".
I''d like to send you my completed script of "It''s a Horrible Life" for your review and possible representation.
Thank you very much for your consideration. Title: Economics

His first appearance on the show is at the behest of his beautiful Dr. Pete-genuflecting girl friend, Diane; his second is prompted by his next mate, an artificial love doll bought online, Dolly, whose ambition is to have her own advice show; and his third visit, the showdown, is a result of Dr. Pete himself challenging Justin to come on his show alone and admit to America that he needs help. Justin’s “problem” is not that he doesn’t listen, but rather that he listens to too many people who are just regurgitating slogans. In the end, he listens to himself, and does what he wants with his life. Title: The Foosball Kid
Logline: A klutzy middle-aged volunteer fireman with a boring day job still lives at home with his mother while trying to recapture his youth by playing in Foosball competitions.
Synopsis: America’s infamous baby boomers have a dark side and this story taps into this virtually unnoticed population. Due to the high cost of living, there are a growing number of people who never left their parent’s home. Based on a true story, our main character Steven Parelli lives at home with his mom at age forty because he doesn’t make enough money to afford his own place. He joined the local volunteer fire department to add more spice to his life however due to his klutzy ways, the other firemen do not permit him to do any dangerous tasks. Steven stumbles onto his one true skill, which is playing and winning foosball games, when he runs into Leo, a talent agent, who helps Steven capitalize on his foosball skills. This story is our first and we believe it is extremely funny and people will be able to relate Steven and/or his friends to someone they actually know. It is a great homage to all those parents who are stuck with middle-aged kids that never left home. WGA:123863. Title: Learning for Tomorrow

His recollections take him through the humorous and odd events that occur during his tenure there. Dave finds that things and people are not always what they seem and that the classroom experience is not what he had envisioned.
This comedy/drama is entertaining and also questions the value of a college education in today's time. This film has great potential in generating interest due to the fact most people are very passionate (positive and negative) in regards to his/her college experience. Many people will also be able to relate to the events that occur in the film and it prompts the creation of the viewer's own opinion on Dave's experience. Title: My Last Day

Title: Skirt Chaser
Logline: A womanizer gets paranoid and funny things happen when he suspects that someone’s out to kill him. He’s still going to try to hijack another guy’s girlfriend, though.
Synopsis: Somebody's gonna whack Joey (rumor has it), and he doesn't know who because nobody really likes him. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks either, so he’s not about to change his evil ways when it comes to pretty women. You have a doll like Molly on the planet you might as well grab her and sweat the boyfriend later. No problem (he figures), since he’s so expert at looking over his shoulder. Too bad he’s looking over the wrong one.
This is my first script, though, I’m no stranger to the comedy genre. My standup material has been performed by working stage comics from Caroline’s to the Improv. I’ve published humor/satire in: Mother Jones; Yankee Magazine; Maxim Magazine; Philadelphia Style and some adult stuff for the Flynt Group (Larry).
I’d be happy to forward a copy of the WGAE registered script if it’s something that might be of interest to you.

If this jerk keeps pushing his luck, our hero’s going to work up the nerve to blast him off his mortal coil. Easier said than done, though, because this stand-up guy’s more than happy to blast back. Twists like a pretzel. Funnier than George Bush.
I’ve written for: New York Magazine; Village Voice; New Republic; Hartford Courant; Bangor Times and other, lesser gods. I’ve done some scripted comedy material for radio (WBAI), and New York City comedic stage performances as well. In any event…
…I’d be happy to submit the WGAE registered script if it’s something you’d like to have a look at. Thank you.

When an ill-mannered mechanic loses his wife to a suave businessman, the ghost of Rudolph Valentino helps him win her back by teaching him how to be a great lover.
Set in present day Crown Point, Indiana, a small Midwestern town where Valentino was married back in 1923.
The inspiration for this story came from two sources. First, I grew up in Crown Point and had always been fascinated by the fact that the cinema's first male sex symbol had been married in my hometown. And second, that there were a few times in my dating life when I could have benefited from the help of a great lover.
I am currently seeking literary representation and would like to send you a copy of THE GREAT LOVER for your consideration.

Synopsis: Laney Barfaloft has just recieved her first assignment as a television writer to furnish the next greatest American drama. Only problem is it's about a time and place she'd rather soon forget...high school. With the help of her whimsy co-writer, or possibly against her will, Laney uses her own embarrassing, torturing experiences from high school to launch the next greatest craze in teen drama. But to her dismay, not even good writing can erase the feelings her best friend, Mitch, and herself have always had, but denied for one another. Between remembering family trials, the re-emergence of an old crush, changes in the script, and the ironical fate of one scrap of paper that changes her life forever, Laney realizes that when it comes to love it's all about reading between the lines.
