Synopsis: From the professional script coverage of SHALOM LISBOA:
Rating: RECOMMEND
Comments: "This is a great script, filled with incredibly noble and selfsacrificing characters, and its greatest strength is the way it presents many of the ideologies floating around Europe during World War II without being overly convoluted.....
....Florette is a strong-willed and compelling character, and the resiliency she shows during the atrocities she endures clearly reflect the heroism or lack of heroism in the characters around her......
.....Adding to this theme is the story of Marcelo and Cristina, speckled gingerly throughout the script. Marcelo risks his career as a diplomat and his own life to issue visas to thousands of refugees who would otherwise be dead at the hands of the Gestapo.... ....Adding weight to the story are some truly great visual moments in the script....

This screenplay follows the events of this day, from Lincoln's last Cabinet meeting to the heartbreaking bedside vigil of the dying president, from the assassin John Wilkes Booth's meeting with his co-conspirators to the sentencing and hanging of these same people.
We are introduced to some forgotten people in history: Dr. Charles Leale, an Army physician who was in the theater and who was the first on the scene, thus becoming Lincoln's physician for that harrowing night; the actress Laura Keane, who cradled the president's head as he lay bleeding on the floor; the condemned Lewis Powell, David Herold, George Atzerodt, and Mary Surratt, who became the first woman hung by the American government; and others, each playing a different, yet significant, role in the story.
This a true telling of the assassination, with actual dialogue and words from those who were present. Title: The Twelfth of May

The panorama of action throughout encapsulates the issues of those years: the trepidation of orders issued to return to the theatre of combat; the horror of racial hatred in the American South of the day; and finally, the mental imprisonment of unspeakable trauma locked inside the mind of a soldier on a hilltop on some map leading to nowhere in a jungle that had no meaning to him after the war because of head trauma.
It's about a catharsis, a healing of old wounds, and for one, the end of a long journey crossing the bridge from madness to reality.

This isn’t my first stab at writing. I’m a former newspaperman who wrote about real-life mobsters in my hometown, Cleveland. I’ve finished three other feature-length scripts, and I’ve also penned three short screenplays for movies that recently screened at film festivals in Portland and Seattle. One, HANGING CHAD, even won a Best Screenplay Award. I appreciate that these are relatively small achievements, but they’re all stepping stones leading me to where I am. I think I have intriguing ideas and I execute them well on the page. WGA# 1076661 Title: Chickadee

It still retains its notoriety, therefore, it will always appeal and fascinate audiences.
Minimum dialogue - maximum action, richly enhanced with music and exquisite snippets of cultural entertainment. I am a strong believer that excellent acting supported by music has colossal power to move human emotions.
The story is easy to follow, yet it encompasses history and bitter intrigue, music and culture, fiery passion and crime with plenty of suspense. Title: Amber Lockheart

Title: GANGSTER
Logline: Gangsters not only captivated America, but at times held America captive. Where and when did being a gangster and living the gangster lifestyle begin. It all began with one man, Angelo Vestieri.
Synopsis: The story begins at the turn of the twentieth century, when immigration, prostitution and poverty lived along the streets of New York City. And so did the main character, Angelo Vestieri, an Italian immigrant, who seeks refuge among the "Gophers". The "Gophers", in return, teach him the ways of loyalty, friendship, and the most important of all, money and power.
This is a portrayal of Angelo's need to grasp at the money and the power that the "Gophers" planted in him during his early childhood years, and whether a corrupt city, in an extraordinary century, places it's hands of fate upon Angelo, or if Angelo places his own hands of fate upon it.
This is a portrayal of one man's ultimate destiny. The one man who started it all. America's first true gangster Title: This Side of Nirvana

Logline: Money, sex, greed, and the battle for righteousness are what characterized the 1920s. These same characteristics are prevalent in 2003 and this adaptaion of Gatsby will prove that.
Synopsis: Gatsby is a timeless classic still read and taught in literature classes around the world. For fans of this novel, an adaptation as legendary as the book has eluded them--until now. My adaptation thrusts Nick, Jordan, Tom, Myrtle and Daisy into a 2003 Hollywood society. The setting ranges from Malibu, Santa Anita luxery boxes, the Sunset strip and into the bloody swimming pool of Gatsby.
Nick is a new screenwriter and finds a guesthouse across the inlet from his cousin Daisy, and her husband, producer Tom Buchanan. Through Tom, Nick realizes a sense of racism in Hollywood. Jordan Baker, Tom's assistant, takes Nick on a sinster ride through love as well. He also sees how Daisy has been sucked into this brutal society. And in the middle is Jay Gatsby, a man whose heart is no match for such a careless generation--but whose loves makes the ultimate story for Nick. Title: The Blue Poet

Entitled Reawkenings, the book encompasses Joe’s life-altering events in Los Angeles. From his philosophical studies under eccentric mentor Uncle George to his street knowledge garnered from ecstasy dealer, Jason, the book chronicles Joe’s extensive transformation.
Centered around this is Joe’s fascination with a beautiful raver girl named Aries. The night they meet, a huge rave party at the Shrine, Joe immediately falls for her. Their subsequent search to find one another, on parallel courses, is recounted from each person’s perspective.
Based on many real experiences, this screenplay gives a brutally accurate first-person account of the mid-1990’s Los Angeles Rave scene. Title: Tickle Me
