Title: A Killer Like Me
Logline: An obsessed homicide detective becomes a murderer while chasing a serial killer in post-Katrina New Orleans.
Synopsis:
My new crime novel, "A Killer Like Me," is set for nationwide release by Dorchester Publishing/Leisure Books in December 2010.
I am looking for an agent to sell the film rights.
In A KILLER LIKE ME, New Orleans homicide detective Sean Murphy battles his superiors, his troubled past, and his own dark impulses as he hunts for a serial killer who calls himself the Lamb of God. As the killer taunts the police and the press while committing a series of grisly murders, Murphy seeks to anticipate the killer''s next move by trying to get inside his head, by thinking like the killer. But thinking like a madman presents its own dangers.
I recently sold the screenplay "House of the Rising Sun" to veteran director and producer Dan Zirilli at PopArt Film Factory. The script is based on my novel of the same name, set for release by Dorchester/Leisure in June 2011. I am also the author of the Penguin true crime books "Killer with a Badge" and "An Act of Kindness."
Title: THE GOOD ONE
Logline: Lynn only vaguely recalls brutally killing the man. Now she must figure out who he was and why she did it.
Synopsis:
A feature length thriller: With no memory, LYNN finds herself in a lonely farmhouse standing over the body of the brutally murdered farmer. To her horror she has a vision of swinging the bat that killed the man.
Lynn must somehow reconstruct her past from the fragments around her, all of them diaphanous ... her husband WILL, the town’s only policeman, the 14-year-old girl MARTA who so desperately needs Lynn’s help, and her own sister LEAH.
As Lynn''s memory slowly comes into focus, she recognizes the extent of her Will’s brutality and how he has betrayed her. But now she must discover whether she herself is a murderer -- or whether the true murderer is still out there, someone close to her, and someone who intends to make her the next victim.

She hoped she escaped a hell - but only for a much worse place: the couple is presumably member of a satanic cult where human sacrifices are a current practice to get a little help from a friend down below.
With her maternal instinct rising, she decides to keep the baby and does whatever is necessary, acting herself like Satan''s most gifted pupil.

Synopsis:
The tormented spirits of Dark Whispers supernaturally rise-up from the Chesapeake Bay region of Viginia and possess an American Bald Eagle. It was on the same day as the Presidential Inauguration of this nation''s first black President, Barack Obama on January 20, 2009. The eagle is supernaturally guided to Washington DC to deliver the truth about Dark Whispers to a living descendent,65 year old US Army veteran retired Command Sergeant Major Keith Alan Jackson. The supernatural encounter between the eagle and Jackson reveals a remarkable story about a US government cover-up about the Civil War and the mysterious extermination of 2500 blacks on January 20, 1866. The execution order was given by Anderw Johnson,the 17th President of the US in the 1800s. While under hypnosis, Jackson reveals the truth of Dark Whispers to the nation''s top military doctors and historians. His story telling goes back into time (like the movie Titantic)& challeges the history books and the government''s truth.

Logline: A black liberal Muslim sacrifices himself to save his native land, America.
Synopsis:
A young UC Berkeley professor believes her husband is in Africa helping the poor improve their lives. While she leads protests against American policies, her husband is secretly a fifteen year veteran of a small CIA team known only as Molly. The story takes place in the Ile de Torue Prison where the American military maintains a secret cellblock to interrogate hi-level terrorists. Molly, unable to get information from several dangerous men caught trying to enter the States, slips Yuri into Cellblock A to learn why the men had traces of radiation on them when caught. He does all the right things to gain the leaders trust and learns that they wanted to be captured so they would be sent to the one place in the western hemisphere where spies and satellites could not detect North Korean nuclear bombs being assembled. On Mohammad’s birthday the bombs will be delivered to the United States aboard passenger aircraft that will automatically detonate when landing.

Unfortunately for the Julliard scholar, there is something about Sam his research doesn’t reveal: Matthew thinks Sam is the sister of the student he nearly beat to death, and that the student went missing after the assault. In actuality, Sam was that very same male college student Matthew attacked twelve years ago. In order to leave the past behind Sam took the necessary medical steps to become what she has always been in her mind and heart, a beautiful female. Having acquired a tip-top body, she’s also honed excellent defense skills and escapes Matthew’s murderous intentions. Now truly turned on by his prey, his seduction of Sam is the biggest mistake of his life.

Logline: A young forensic psychiatrist-in-training is in a power struggle with a corrupt female Chair of Psychiatry after he suspects the involvement of the chair in the death of his Girlfriend.
Synopsis:
A young handsome forensic psychiatrist,Ian Keaton, realizes the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry is involved in the death of his GF. The GF discovered problems in the nanite technology research which the Chair is trying to conceal. After her death, Ian is mandated into treatment by his training director. His grief and other demons are revealed. He investigates the GF''s death and the same time, the US Attorney''s Office investigates corruption and foulplay involving the Chair of Psychiatry, Dr. Van Klein. The Chair is involved in a cover-up with a powerful international company which has unlimited resources and questionable ethics. Ian finds out that the research involving the nanites causes brain damage in mentally-ill subjects. The Chair is cornered and commits suicide but not before revealing that the conspiracy involves a mentor close to Ian. The mentor attempts kill Ian with nanites. He life is saved after going throught an emergency procedures. wga# pending.

Logline: A hardened ex-con returns from the future seeking retribution against the criminal underworld that framed him.
Synopsis:
"This is undoubtedly a killer movie idea, somewhere between BACK TO THE FUTURE and THE USUAL SUSPECTS. It combines so many strong elements, including the time travel device, a film noir sensibility, the feel of a high octane revenge thriller and some interesting character development.
This script rivals BLADE RUNNER for its nihilistic world view, complex characters and subjective moral viewpoint. You balance some of these bigger questions with a constantly-moving plot and a couple of impressive twists in the tail, which are of vital importance to fans of this genre...

Title: MALIGNED
Logline: Unbeknownst to the people who call him friend, Sidney is a twisted serial killer playing them all against each other for his own demented desires.
Synopsis:
Following Shakespeare’s classic Othello, Sidney seems to be an ordinary man who deals with work, hangs out with his friends and tries to balance a relationship at the same time. Only Sidney also murders people. When he is passed over for a promotion by Julius, who considers Sidney to be his best friend, Sidney’s murderous mind concocts a devious plot for vengeance. He uses Julius’s jealous nature to convince him that his girlfriend has been unfaithful to him with the very man given the promotion. Sidney places himself as Julius’s sole advocate, all the while waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Leading this near-perfect double life, this psychotic serial killer pits all his unsuspecting friends against each other in a deadly game of cat and mouse- until his web of lies began to crumble around him. Title: Choice
Logline: A gifted detective tracks down an arrogant killer who loves playing games and leave baffling clues.
Synopsis:
A series of murders happens inside two movie theaters. No clues of any kind were left. As two detectives, Rob and Steve, investigate the case they find the identity of the killer and track him to his home. They find their suspect hanging from the ceiling dead. Upon looking around the apartment a bomb goes off killing Steve. He quits the force and isolates himself from his family. Years later a second set of murders it is brought to Rob’s attention his sister was killed. This forces him back on the case and with a new partner.
Alex and Rob start to find clues left by the killer. As the evidence is pieced together, Rob figures out the pattern of the murders. The killer is tracked down and captured. Leon, the killer, sets a trap and kills Alex and the captain.
Tina, his niece goes missing and it is Leon who has taken her. Rob finally faces Leon. Soon there is a fight and Rob is asked to make a choice, either Tina dies or he dies. Rob saves Tina, last remaining family, and kills Leon.

Logline: The modern tale pits abused Italian savant Domenico, who alone sees Godsatan then slays gays for Him, vs. noble inner-city American Tank Tooley, a reporter and firefighter who becomes a hero of 9/11.
Synopsis:
Domenico Patriani poisons abusive father Goro then runs away. He alone sees Godsatan thru the eyes of the Shroud of Turin and evolves into The Black Knight slayer of gays. The brilliant killer is ordained an Episcopal deacon in service to hated priest brother Marcello in New York City-in reality he plans to kill him!
Tank Tooley is a champion athlete who becomes a disabled policeman then a volunteer firefighter, investigative reporter on the hunt with father Raymond, editor of The Harlem Journal, and lastly a hero of 9/11.
The shocking climax occurs in Christ Church during the World Trade Center attack. Domenico thinks it Armagedden and confesses to Marcello that he is the serial killer, and that he murdered their father. The deacon tries to stab the priest but is instead shot dead. Firefighter Tank rushes in seeking refuge for WTC victims and sees Father Marcello commit suicide. Tank covers up the crimes but later tells what really happened, ever the "Knight in Shining Armor."

Logline: In a small New England town a priest receives a strange visitor in his confessional, then a gruesome discovery is made in the woods. Hate and guilt collide as two men face the demon that created them
Synopsis:
A stranger enters a confessional clutching a memento from his past. His soft whispers and slow breathing fill the space like a cold mist. The next morning the church is desecrated. In the nearby woods detectives make an even grimmer discovery. A young man horribly murdered, his body elaborately staged. For seasoned veteran Pete Reynolds the scene is beyond anything he has ever seen, for his new partner it is just the dark side of human nature. An enigmatic man, Thomas Potter walked away from a promising career with the FBI''s elite behavioral Sciences unit to escape his own past with his teenage daughter. Logline: Charley Koss is an addict murdering for redemption after contracting HIV at a rave. Positive answers the age old question of how would you spend your last days if you have already been through hell.
Synopsis:
Charley was abducted by a family friend when he was young, and was forced to lure children to be slaughtered. Charley Koss grows up and develops a blatant disregard for morals and relationships. He goes to meetings to hook up with other sex addicts and score drugs. He is in multiple relationships with girls and boys but none that he would consider love, with the exception of a hooker who dies of an overdose. Charley goes to a rave party to forget about it. Charley ingests a large amount drugs and hooks up with a HIV carrier. After being infected his drug use excels and he contemplates suicide. In his darkest moment he notices a postcard stating that a sex offender lives in the neighborhood. Charley goes to the address and kills the pervert starting a chain of serial murders. In the end, Charley makes amends just in time to be chased by gangsters and cops to the edge of a roof, where he jumps to his death. In the background is a message from the doctor informing him he is HIV negative.
Title: Blue Blood
Logline: Young, wealthy Reginald is forced into a week-long business retreat on tropical Moriah Island that turns deadly when his peers must fight to be the last man standing and for the right to return home.
Synopsis:
“Blue Blood” is similar to “Lord of the Flies”, but with a group of 25 young trust-funders unwittingly forced into an elite rite of passage. Reginald and the other heirs to the world’s wealthiest families travel to Moriah Island where they meet, Mr. Smith. Smith tells them they are there at the behest of their parents to learn the ways of higher finance. Most of the kids are obviously spoiled and some, it turns out, have committed very heinous crimes, only to be let off because of their status. The majority don’t take Smith’s lectures seriously and follow them up with nothing but fun and sun. But the party’s over when, Smith explains that it’s time they all put in their first full day of work: they’ll have eight hours to “kill-or-be-killed”. Allegiances are form and broken, as the body count starts to quickly rise. Eventually, Reginald and his closest ally corner Smith with the intention of stopping the madness, but when more is revealed, it’s not clear if they’ll want to.
Title: Cabbages and legumes
Logline: A $1M cash prize for best crop pits friends, Dellbert, a cabbage farmer and Croft, a legume farmer, in a battle that ends their lives and mirrors the way cabbages and legumes exist in nature.
Synopsis:
CROFT, a legume farmer with a talent for farming techniques and his neighbor, DELLBERT, a cabbage farmer with exceptional mechanical skills. For years, they work as friends until a local company announces a $1M cash prize for the best crop. Greed quickly consumes both farmers who plot to kill one another.
Croft poisons Dellbert by sewing ergot seeds into his farmland. The poison slowly effects Dellbert causing him to hallucinate. Meanwhile, Dellbert loosens the gears on his combine before Croft borrows it. Suffering from hallucinations, Dellbert teeters along the edge of a watering hole until he falls in and drowns. After Dellbert's funeral, Croft borrows his combine and comes to a violent and bloody end as the blades break loose from the combine cutting him to pieces.
While thriving, cabbages and legumes aid each other, but they steal each other's nutrients in times of need. Much like these friends who wind up buried next one another under a pithy epitaph.
Title: The Indigo Child
Logline: The story of one man's dream to search for the one child who will restore peace and hope to mankind, in a time of unrest and despair -- is it only a dream?
Synopsis:
"The Indigo Child" is a thriller-drama set in the year 2019. Tomas, a reiki healer who lives in a small community in the forests of Brazil, has a dream one night, about a special child of unique ability. Tomas believes this child to be the key to healing the world which has been greatly devastated by war, economic turmoil, epidemics and incessant suffering. Later events lead him to decide to risk it all and embark on a perilous search for this special child, the one he calls "the Indigo child". With the help of two unexpected companions, Sean, a skillful (and ever-cynical) mercenary and Diana, a beautiful UN female missionary, Tomas has to face and survive the treacherous roads of South and Central America, the rampant diseases and the ruthless attacks of the private armies in order to ultimately reach New York City. Only then will he able to find out if the Indigo child truly exists, and if mankind will ever be reunited again.

Knowing that they have all been used, they all set out to get even with him. Richard resorts to various dirty tricks to save his skin.

Logline: Two amnesia patients realize that they are alien test subjects.
Synopsis:
Darryl wakes up in a hospital, not remembering much of his life. Doctor Whitmere is helping him recover from amnesia. Adelle also suffered from amnesia. But with help from Doctor Barton, she remembered the abduction; but she doesn’t know that it was Doctor Whitmere, not Barton, that she should not trust.

He suffers a trauma which leaves him inextricably linked to Steven. The two men then live out a spiritual conflict in which two parallel worlds clash. The resolution comes from an old Peruvian Shaman solicited by Steven’s wife with the help of her friend and university professor. The Shaman travels between the two worlds to help Mike free himself from his physical body and continue along his path after life. He puts an end to this struggle by freeing Steven and Mike from their conflicts and attachment.

Mike Broyles is a successful and arrogant reporter for the prestigious New York Examiner. Some of his stories are found to be made up and/or based on fraudulent information. He is promptly fired and returns to his hometown in Wisconsin. He plans on re-evaluating his life and trying to figure out how it all went so wrong.
Little does he know that he''s about to step into a mystery. The day after he arrives, the body of a missing 8 year old boy is found hanging from a tree. Yet the body dangles as if it were a marionette doll, his death having already been completed before being put up on the tree.
This causes fear and panic in the little town, for 15 years ago, a series of 8 murders took place for a five year duration. The bodies were all found identical to this one but the killings stopped and the culprit was never found.
Thus, Mike has found a story that could redeem himself and his career, yet the more he digs, the closer he may not live long enough to finish writing it.

While Alex works for Ann they get involved, but she dumps him after Hank, the killer, stages his own death.
Linda dates Hank after meeting him online. It's a real disaster. It´s time to take a chance and meet with Alex.
Alex is staking out a hotel where a plutonium dealer is meeting with Hank.
Hank knows Linda is meeting Alex in the hotel and sets her up, sending her to the dealer´s room. Alex saves her, but with all that has happened their chance for a relationship is over.
Alex gets a message from Hank: He kidnapped Linda and is on his way to his next victim, with the plutonium. Alex catches up with them and learns Hanks´ motives, and that he wants Alex to be the one that kills him. But 2 jets are already on their way to take him out. Alex has to move fast

Susanne sees Kristine and attempts to put an end to her investigation. She convinces another deranged patient from the asylum that he is the true murderer and he plays out scenes from her novel with deadly and horrific results driving Kristine to the brink of insanity. Are they delusions or reality, WILL KRISTINE EVER FIND OUT?

A chemical drum turns up with human remains in it, another, and then another, all in the space of 2 days. The remains are so cleverly disposed of, only a jelly like substance is left for the Forensic Team.
A Missing Persons Task Force is formed to handle the case.
Avery Trask heads up the force and sets out to put his team together.
The killer is buried deep in deception. The Task Force has yet to find one clue or have a suspect.
They are racing against time before this monster takes another girl.
When the Task Force and Forensic Team finally close in on the perpetrator, the knowledge of the fiend's identity is shocking.

The mysterious Caretaker's arrival in this small town cemetery is no coincidence. Bitty had always been a strange sister, so when Lore met Bitty's fairy godmother for the upcoming ball, she didn't think much of it. Sure, the fairy godmother was mean and drank scotch, but then again, Bitty was a personal injury lawyer, so allowances had to be made about her mental stability.
After refusing to go the ball and disgust the prince with her appearance, Lore wakes to find her roommate dead and Bitty still thirsty for blood. With the first strike of midnight, Bitty's gone and Lore's bleeding. Kill or be killed, the ghosts finally convince her. Armed with only her shoes, Lore has to survive the ball, ignore the prince, and kill her sister to stay alive.
